Original French Aviation Postcards, c.1950, Charbonneau
Here are 32 of a set of 50 original French postcards by artist Philippe Charbonneau depicting the fighting ‘planes of World War 2.
The only likely reference that I can find to the artist, is here: http://www.artandsupercars.com/philippe-charbonneau-designer/
British, American, German, French warbirds are shown, and each card has a brief description to the rear.
They were printed in Paris in about 1950 by EAeC.
One has some discolouration to the rear which does not affect the image, and all are unused. Size is 14 x 9 cm.
I will be adding three more to this little collection of original French postcards shortly. Price will change accordingly, and will continue to do so as I move towards completion of the set. If you’d like to do the chase yourself, I’ll help you out with contacts.
These cards are seldom seen for sale, and almost never in this condition.
P.S. The third pic is of 3 which arrived this morning. (May 26, ’16)
