The Ipcress File

Ipcress File, Michael Caine, Original Lobby Card, 1965

Ipcress – Michael Caine as Harry Palmer, in the first and most successful of three movies (there was a fourth, but the franchise was firing blanks by then) which included these: The Ipcress File, Funeral in Berlin, and The Billion Dollar Brain. Ipcress was dark, Funeral was darker, and Brain was simply barking mad. For more on the series try here: http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0021349/?ref_=fn_ch_ch_1

In this, the relationship between Palmer, Dalby, Ross and Jean was played out beautifully, with Palmer as a sort of low-rent Bond, Dalby and Ross as the spymasters, and Jean (Sue Lloyd) as the beautiful femme fatale.

At the moment, this is one (#2) of a set of ten original French Lobby Cards, or Front of House cards, all of which are in super condition, with just a pinhole in each corner. The slight flash on the left hand border is my fault, and NOT on this lobby card.

If you want the full set, get in touch and we’ll negotiate a price, to include bumpf card and original distributor’s envelope.
