Condition: Very fragile. Much edge wear. Some fold separation tacked together with removeable 'magic' tape. Paper loss at bottom.

One of the most famous posters ever printed, this advertising poster for the alcoholic drink 'Curacao' (an essential ingredient in the cocktail known to a few of us as 'The Five Arsed Monkey') originated in France in the last years of the nineteenth century.
The Artist was G.Eros.

The condition suggests restoration is necessary, but my personal feeling is that the colour and patina are so wonderful, that I would frame it exactly as is.

I have dated this as 1901, as my website doesn't seem to understand 1897 !
