School for Scoundrels, 6 Original Pub. Stills, 1960
One of the major film guides describes School for Scoundrels as an ’amusing trifle’, which, if you’re sick of movies, sick of life, and a pompous git, it probably is. This movie is an absolute delight: funny, clever, beautifully acted and terrifically well cast.
What we have here is a set of 6 original publicity stills from the first American release in 1960, and gloriously, two of them feature Terry-Thomas and the Bellini – a lightly disguised Aston Martin DB3S. In the main shot we also have the Swiftmobile, a disguised 3 1/2 Bentley, I think.
There’s also a super shot of Carmichael discussing the purchase of the Swiftmobile with Dunstan and Dudley Dorchester, the ‘Winsome Welshmen’, and there are three other scenes from the movie.
An uncredited Peter Ustinov had a major hand in the screenplay of School for Scoundrels. More on the movie here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054279/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_2
The price is for the set of 6. Each still has a pinhole in each corner, and there are very minor signs of cinema usage.
